The Development of MR-based Desktop Collaboration System

  We study for the aim of developing a useful system on a desk. To achieve this goal, we developed a basic system, and created an application which draws lines by fingertips in work space.

  The system, which we developed, is based on Mixed Reality(MR) that offers effective working environment. It uses a camera, which conforms to IEEE1394 Digital Camera Specification, a video projector and a PC. The methods in building a MR work space are presented as follows. First, take a photo of a work space with a camera. Second, it directs to PC and processing on it. After processing, the result is projected on a desk by a video projector.
